Christmas Part 1 and Dave Ramsey

So you may have seen in my blog before you have seen this, which I got to change today:

                                         8/23/11                    1/26/12                   8/19/13            11/15/13        12/23/14

Lindsey Car                     $14,985                    $11,800                   $0!                  $0!                   $0!

Josh's Car                        $18,250                    $16,300                   $5,000             $0!                  $0!

Josh's Student loan          $22,000                     $20,800                 $19,282        $19,150            $0!

Lindsey's Student Loan   $21,250                     $20,600                  $16,718         $16,200             $13,700

Yes, we paid off Josh's student loans! Merry Christmas to us! Now we just have my loans which are only at 1.25% interest. Whats great is it gives us the ability to push pause and hopefully take advantage of lower interest rates and move into a new home. Between the 2 cars and the one student loan that saved us $900 per month in payments that we have cut out. The goal is to pay off mine by the end of the year. If we stop now and save the down payment that may take a touch longer.Either way we are so much better off than 3-4 years ago. No more car payments ever again.

In other updates we visited Josh's family this past week......

Santa came for Jake

He asked for a telescope, remote control helicopter and an xbox

its an understatement to say he LOVES his xbox and playing Madden 15

Everyone is doing well, thankfully we are all healthy and gearing up for a trip to ATL tuesday.

Jake is growing up fast and enjoys astronomy as well as sports.

We enjoyed taking Jake to his first steelers game on Dec. 14th thanks to my dad.

What a fun time as we won and mad lasting memories.

This past year has been full of ups and downs with new jobs for both Josh and I as well as the passing of my grandpa which was difficult. Gearing up for the new year, maybe a new house and hopefully a healthy 2015.
