Linking up with Kelly's Korner Singles!!

I have always wanted to do this for someone and I finally have the chance:)

Kelly's Korner blog is having their "Show Us Your Singles" Day!

Leslie works for me at the Front desk at the local Y. Everyone knows Leslie it seems and she has such a great personality! When I thought of someone I wanted to do this for I immediatley thought of Leslie.

Leslie is the girl that all guys wish they had. She has a deep love for GOD that shines through while she teaches Kindergarden on a dailey basis.

She would do anything for the people she loves. She is a big bundle of fun.

Not only is she fun but she is smart. She has her Masters in Elementary Education.

She has traveled to every continent except Austraila and Antartica. She went to London during the summer of 2012and watched the Olympics.

After being around her for 10 minutes, you will feel like you have known her your whole life.

If you are interested in connecting with Leslie please leave me a comment!

Bedtime Routine

Had a nice weekend as my parents came up and we took a trip to Virginia to meet my Aunt Janet half way to give her some of the antiques she bought back in November.

I wanted to write down Jake's bedtime routine so that I will remember it in the future. We do bath around 7:30 or so, we then each say our prayers, then I read a book to Jake and we talk about his day and he tells me how it went. Then I sing him 3 songs. These days the songs are: Silent Night, You Are My Sunshine and edelweiss (which I remember my mom singing to me growing up). I am not a rigid/scheduled person but I want to make sure that we pray every night and connect with Jake and know what goes on in his life. We try to eat dinner together but with the commutes and the crazy schedules its hard so I am glad this is one good thing we have been able to stick to no matter where we are.

Jake also did something cute today. He was playing cars and starts belting out " I'm gonna walk in the light of Jesus, everyday!" and I asked him if he learned it at church this morning (for the past 2 weeks he and Josh have gone to Waterlife and we put him in the kids program) and he said yes. He then said wouldn't it be great if we could go to church everyday?  He is so cute.

This weekend my Aunt gave him $10. My parents took him to Walmart while we went out to dinner to celebrate our 7th anniversary. He bought a Power Rangers mask AND wore it out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday LOL.

Warm January day, playing a little baseball. He loves to play golf too and says he is going to be a football player.

Josh and I at our wedding. Crazy that 7 years have gone by:)
