Swimming lessons

Jake started swimming lessons 2 weeks ago and LOVES them. Where last year we couldn't get him in the water without me what a difference a year makes.  I think it is really important that he learns how to swim so I am excited he will have some skill before our beach trip in May down to Seagrove, FL.

I also have been in a competition at work to see who can get the most steps. Of course our property guy who walks all day is beating us hands down but it has been fun to compete with my other coworkers. So Jake and I have spent extra time at the greenway (as my bum foot will allow) and he gets better and better riding his bike.  It seems like he went from hardly riding a tricycle to riding a bike with training wheels in no time. He is growing up way too fast. Now I have to try to keep up with him.....lol.

San Antonio Trip

So it has been a busy last 3 weeks. I was able to take a trip for work to San Antonio where I got to see a few old friends and coworkers (I also traveled to Austin).

My old YMCA had been COMPLETLEY renovated.

I got to see two of my most favorite people....Becky and Kim.

and I stayed with Kim the last night and hung out with her 2 kids Tara and Grant

All in all it was a bittersweet but great trip. I can't beleive it had been 3 years since I had lived there!

Here is an extra photo taken last night of Jake and I in our robes. I had found an old 2T Toy Story robe downstairs (Jake use to never wear it) that Jake wanted so he could be like me. He wanted to take a picture together. He cracked me up because he said "Mom, it says Toy Story on my robe and look it also hides my pee pee" and shows me. I was dying laughing on the floor....literally.

I also tried a Pintrest cookie where you put an oreo inside of a chocolate chip cookies, two things my husband loves. I ended up only using half of an oreo because the cookie was already HUGE, even my husband commented on the amount of calories in one of these. lol. The picture may not be as impressive but I did have 1 and a half and they were GOOD.

On a side note we finally measured Jake's height. He is 39 inches:) Looking back he has grown 6 inches in two years. The time is flying by!
