22 months - catching up

Busy last month. We went to Chicago the last weekend in April to visit my grandparents and for my cousin Liz's baby shower. Lots of fun and many pics to follow. Visited "Nuts on Clark" and the house I grew up in until we moved to ATL.

There are also pics of the Newton Mayfest that we took Jake to yesterday. He got to expereince his first pony ride, feed some animals at the petting zoo and watch pigs race.

An update as far as Jake at 22 months - He is still in 18-24 month clothing, size 4 diapers and a size 6 shoe. He LOVES bikes, football, golf and the sprinkler. We watch the Appalachian state video highlights at least daily it seems and he is either carrying around a golf club, a football or wearing his helmet (which he insists on wearing backwards) He still loves to push his lawnmower and play in the yard, he says "go outside" all of the time.

He speaks pretty well. He is funny when he says "no, no mom" or "no, no Josh" when he doesn't want us to do something. He wants to feed himself. He is in the beginning stages of going towards potty training. He tells us when he went and talks about the potty, he just usually doesn't have to go by the time he sits on it. He LOVES showers and baths still. He likes music, especially " the wheels on the bus" we sing that just about daily and he likes to play with his friend paxton's bus at daycare. He loves the movie Happy Feet and he has gone from calling it penguins to the actual name. He drinks from sippy cups and now has gotten the hang of juice boxes. He LOVES fruit - apples, oranges, grapes (cut up) and bananas. He says " i love you" all the time and then says "more" meaning I love you more, as we say that back and forth.

He is growing up so fast.
