Buster Brown

Just documenting that Buster Brown joined our family yesterday. He is a 6 week old terrier mix. Bailey is 11 years old so we thought it was a good time for Jake to have his own dog to pal around with. One that is more playful as Bailey is not one to play fetch lol. He sleeps a lot right now and loves to cuddle. Like any new puppy he cried at night in his cage but eventually went to sleep for about 3.5 hours and then we did it again at 2am. Just the puppy phase he needs to go through. Bailey as scared the crap out of him a couple of times but we knew that would happen.

Welcome to the family Buster Brown!

Sept 2013 and no front teeth

So we are in week 5 of football season, we are 1 -3 (with one bye week and we play the Citadel today.
The above picture is almost all of the Football staff wives at the Red Onion before the first home game with our new head coaches wife, Beth Satterfield.

This our annual pic of Jake before the first home game. He looks so grown up!

This is my nephew Brooks at about 9 months old. He is standing now at 10 months and on the verge of walking.

This is how he crawls

Jake also lost his other front tooth at the beginning of Oct. So this brings the count up to 4 lost teeth, the 2 bottom ones have come back in but now he has a large gap up top lol.

Jake is doing well in school. He tends to have lots of bouts of pouting lately so we are working on our morning schedule. Sydney, our neighbor, comes over every morning as Josh takes her to school so Josh has had to learn to share with her including toys and his parents time.

Although Jake is doing well academically (we will have the first parent/teacher conference at the end of the month) the 4 week report said he needed to work on listening and following directions so we will continue to work on that.

We are looking to start him in basketball in a couple of months since we made the decision to not put him in soccer as he was transitioning to kindergarten.

He is enjoying wrap around care in the afternoon which is good and the work transition has worked out better than I thought it would so we are just enjoying life right now.

My sister and her husband and son will be visiting in 3 weeks for the GA Southern game and we will be traveling down next weekend for Jake's cousins b-day and then making it back up to Boone for the Samford game.

Today we are going to try to make it to the pumpkin patch, the fire and safety festival and a visit to Hickory to visit Target.
